Candida Warrior....

Do you see, friend Sancho, thirty or forty hulking giants?
I intend to do battle with them and slay them.

To Fight the Unbeatable Foe

Dr. Sherry Rogers, M.D. of Syracuse, New York, (diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice, fellow of the American College of Allergists, Fellow of the American Association for Clinical Immunology and Allergy, and member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine), says:

The Candida syndrome is spreading among the populace.  It's going to get worse, too, but conventionally practicing allergists don't believe so.  They think we environmental medicine specialists are "nuttier than fruitcakes" or are "quacks" and that our patients are hypochondriacs.

I just feel sorry for the individual candidiasis patient.  It's bad enough to suffer from a disease in which very few people understand what you've got--it's not taught in medical school and not published in standard peer-reviewed medical literature--but then when relatives, friends, neighbors or doctors don't believe you, the condition is even more difficult with which to cope.  Patients find that having the Candida syndrome is very lonely.

My invisible comrades-in-arms, remember:

It's up to brave hearts, sir, to be patient when things are going badly,
as well as being happy when they are going well.

And maybe one day you will receive a note like I did from my daughter-in-law, Christina:

I wondered back when you were so so so sick why you had to go through that. Now I know why. Your will to figure it out was so strong and you were so open to new information that most of us don't willingly seek out, most of us didn't even know there was another way. Now you are able to affect the next generation and who knows how many not in your family! I feel fortunate to be able to go to you with questions and it feels good knowing we are not merely victims of our health and have more control than I used to think. So thank you so much for helping me and my family. We would not be where we are without you!

There will be those who give you the courage to keep up the fight.
