To blog, or not to blog...

When one of my children suggested that I shift from musing through email to writing a blog, instead of taking the suggestion as a compliment, I somehow had visions of...well, if not "throw mama from the train," at least "Mom, we think you would be better off in a rest home!"  Yeah, I know what you are thinking, but nonetheless, that's what happens when technology meets a baby boomer.  In a way, it helps to know that "you" aren't really there and, as I told my old high school English teacher, I can just "write for myself."  On the off-chance that an invisible "you" actually choses to read my posts, I will feel most honored, but remember, these are just my "musings."  In the meantime, I will write for my own amusement and probably fairly soon realize that I can't even amuse myself!  Good grief, by the time I get this post written blogs will be obsolete!  Nevertheless, that is my limit, no more trying to keep up!  I will just go back to...what was that stuff...oh yeah, PAPER!

YAY!
You are such a good writer--I hope you find that you and blogging are a good fit.

sorry I threw you off the train, mama. I was only giving you a gentle toss to the blog train, my train. Welcome aboard.

As a friend of Jennifer, (who thinks her mom must have done quite a good job raising her and has heard the occasional pertinent thought relayed in discussions), I look forward to keeping up! :) Blogging is fun. :) But no pressure - I haven't posted any public bloggy thoughts in quite some time. ;)

Invisible I'm not...I take up a good amount of space I do. And I am about as faithful a blog reader/friend as one can be...I love hearing what other people have to say...most of the time;)
