CliffsNotes for Dummies

When asked in an interview how he came up with the idea for (originally) Cliff's Notes, the founder said, "Well, to make a long story short...."   (long pause, hee hee)

That's me.  For some reason, I have the habit of taking notes on many of the books that I read thinking that they may come in handy at some later time.  Don't you think that everybody should do that?  Since there is no way we can get to every book we want to read, we should all write a mini version of each important book we read to make available to all our invisible friends.  Think how much time would be saved!  For example, my daughters recently passed along a book to me and expected me to read the whole thing!  So, being a good mom, I did all the work which they should have done for me and shortened it for you!

The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands   By Dr. Laura Schlessinger

Give approval, appreciation and acceptance.
Make time for him.
Go out of your way for him.
Don’t treat him like a child.
Treat him like a hero.
Don’t talk negatively about him.
Don’t nag.
Don’t talk so much.
Respect him.
Respect his need for "guy" time.
Be direct about asking for things.
Give him nice surprises like notes and back rubs.
Say thanks.
Keep your mouth shut about things that don’t really matter.
Compliment him.
Trust him.
Don’t micro-manage and control.
Don’t be easily offended.
Ask his opinion.
Let him be the head of the household.
Put him on a pedestal.
Speak blessings.

There you go!  You're welcome....

I'm super impressed by your colorful titles!

And you'll appreciate the fact that it took me a while to get the Cliff's note joke. The longer it takes for me to "get it", the louder I laugh...eventually!
